Q:  Could you share with us how MetaMoJi Note has helped you in your studies?
A:  Well I’m on break from school for the summer but when I have classes I use the app literally every day. I download the PowerPoints my teachers give us, convert them to PDF format, then upload them into MetaMoJi Note. That’s how I take notes every class. I use MetaMoJi Note at school, at clinical (I’m in nursing school), I use it at Starbucks to study. It’s the best app I’ve ever had.

Q:  How has MetaMoJi Note helped you work with other students?
A:  Well, the notes I take I send to my fellow classmates so it helps them out too. A few of them have downloaded the app and use it in class as well. I recommend it to everyone I talk to. I even had a mini session where I taught a few of my instructors how to use it. They see me taking notes and are so impressed by the app that some of them have downloaded it. I can’t tell you how much MetaMoJi Note has helped me. I’m organized, I always know where my notes are (thanks to the awesome folders and tags), and I am a better student because of it.
Thanks for creating this app. It’s been my lifeline in nursing school.

Q.  Have you tried MetaMoJi SHARE as well?
A. I also use Share Anytime now too. My sister and I live in different cities so we use Share Anytime to leave little notes and keep in touch with each other. I use that app at least every other day.

Q:  Which devices and formats do you prefer when using MetaMoJi NOTE?

  1. The teachers post the PowerPoints online, I download them to my android phone, convert them to PDF, then upload them on MetaMoJi NOTE. From there I take notes on my iPad using a stylus or my portable keyboard.

I do the same thing for my clinical work. We have a lot of paper work to complete for our days in the hospital. So I just use MetaMoJi NOTE and handwrite or type in the info on the app while I’m in the hospital. While my other classmates are typing it up when they get home or trying to make their messy work neater, I just convert handwriting to text, email it, then print and it saves so much time.
I’ve given little mini tutorials to a few classmates and some teachers as well. The teachers are all impressed when they see me writing and highlighting their PowerPoints on my iPad.

Q.  How does MetaMoJi NOTE help you to stay efficient with your workload?
A.  I can’t put into words how this app has helped me with my organization in nursing school. One of the absolute best features is the way you can organize them into folders. I have soooo many folders. I have folders for each semester I’ve been in school, then within those I have folders for each class, then within those I have folders for each test, and so on. It’s an amazing feature.
The other features I love include the calligraphy pen style. That’s what I write my notes with. It makes everything look very nice and neat and I get compliments about how great it looks.
I also love the opacity function because I make the thickness 100 with 50% opacity and that’s my highlighter.
Another thing is I LOVE that you can make your writing and text any color you can imagine. I use a fun color to write or type and a different color to highlight. My notes are always bright and fun.
Q.  Are there other features that you would like to see improved in new versions of MetaMoJi Note?
A.  There are only 2 things that I wish were features, but they are very small things and you may laugh. I wish there were more color choices for the tags. And I wish there was a justified alignment for the text boxes. That’s it. I’m seriously in love with the whole app. I wouldn’t change anything.

Q.  And from your experience with MetaMoJi SHARE, how would you like to see it improved?
A.  Now for Share Anytime, I just have the lite version but I still love it. My sister and I share an account and she has it downloaded to her android device, and I have it downloaded on mine. What we do is I’ll leave a little note, like how my day was or a picture of my dog, then sync it to the Shared Drive. She’ll open the app, sync it, then see the note I’ve made her. Then she’ll make a note and sync it for me. It’s a way we keep in touch that’s more substantial and creative than a text or phone call.
